Media Future Week 2013

Four days with 120 students, 10 international keynote speakers and five workshops. A combination that has inspires, created and motivates. In the Media Future Week the students worked in ten mixed teams on a cross-media case from the industry. The combination of different kinds of educations (11 different universities of applied science participated) made the Media Future Week for most students very inspiring and a great learning experience.

Seth Shapiro did an interesting keynote for all the students on wednesday. He talked about the Future media and how fast it is changing. He explains different kinds of Media models and which ones work, don’t work and why. He started the keynote with a brief history in Media, continued with the media business models made easy, after that he explained why TV is driving the 21st century and finished by telling his view on the future of media. After the keynote he talked with every team and gave them tips and his view on their case.

The teams worked on their case for twelve hours daily and a few teams even kept on working in their hotel rooms. The students were all very motivated and have learned a lot from each other. Next year Media Future Week wants to go to Dubai!
