We made a frst draft of the app ibn form of a paper prototypes to present in the focus group next sprint!
We did a facilitated brinstorming session in the mediaLAB to find more incentives to join V2G
The findings were clustered in different topics.
Today Linda and Anna did Field research by visiting an regenerative energy fair in den Bosch!
Some Impressions
The new flyer to recruite participants for the upcoming co-creation Session next sprint!
We are distributing it through bussiness partners, social media, friends and participants fromn earlier focus groups.
Today we presented all our findings of sprint one in an infographic. Check out the whole Sprint 1 presentation here!
the past two weeks we were triing to explore ansd analyze the current situation around EVs and Vehicle to grid.
We mapped all stakeholders and their interests and then categorized all research into different toppics, such as:
Today we decided on how to present all results and mapped the presentation out on paper.
Today we identified all the stakeholders and their relations to each other. This is the result!
Hello Everybody!
We are Linda, Paolo and Anna and we are working on a project called V2X, which stands for vehicle to grid, for the next six month.
Linda is a digital media student at the University of Amsterdam, doing her bachelor thesis on this project, Paolo is a industrial design student from Turin, Italy, with a specialication in ecodesign and Anna is a uxer experience design student at TU Delft, doing her master thesis in the MediaLAB.
V2X stands for Vehicle-to-Grid which basicly means to include the batteries of electric vehicles ( EVs) in the electric grid.
It is estimated that the number of electric vehicles (EVs) will increase up to 200.000 EVs in 2020 and one million in 2025 this will have a great impact on the Dutch electricity grid. A main reason for this are peak loading times during which a huge amount of energy is demanded by householders. The batteries of EV can be used as temporary energy storage and therefore help to stability the grid!
The project Vehicle to Grid (V2X) is a pilot project in Lochem and Amsterdam Nieuw-West, which aims to facilitate using EV batteries as an energy storage, sharing of batteries within communities, and to enable EV drivers to control their own energy consumption.
The pilot is a cooperation project of Cofely, Alliander, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Amsterdam Smart City, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) and the borough of Amsterdam Nieuw-West.
