So, as you might already know, we are brewing beer. What you might not know is that we are brewing a beer with De Prael, a brewery in Amsterdam. Last Friday, we dragged 1000 liters of rainwater from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to the brewery in the red light district. Luckily we had some help from our fellow medialab interns Freddy and Vibhor from the KLM team.
Yesterday, De Prael started brewing our beer. It is fermenting now, so in two weeks it will be ready for consumption. The beer has been filtered with the membrane from Hemelswater, so it will also be safe for consumption. The beer is going to be called Code Blond, as a warning from the KNMI that it might rain so much that you can brew your own beer with the water.
In the meanwhile, at the medialab, we are brewing our next beer, a small batch of weizen again. This beer will be ready for the final presentations of the medialab, so there will be some wijze weizen on the 22nd.
