The Beginning to the End of Energy as a Commodity
Ever think about it when you turn a switch on? Probably not. Energy is seen as a commodity and people unconsciously go about their day using the invisible natural resource – energy. Power stations and the inconveniences of energy transfer is removed from your peripheral vision and blended into the walls of your home to be one of life’s many easy life conveniences. In designing a platform to conceptualizes energy to be an intrinsic value, one has to recognize how to integrate value into systems where value doesn’t exist. Eneco has a future concept of energy that envisions energy in a Peer2Peer system – a system that uses an energy grid to share energy that is individually collected on solar panels of private homes onto a grip. Our challenge is to present solutions to realize this dream and create a virtual platform to transition the current status quo and move closer to an energy sharing world. We are Photosynthesis and we will be working on realizing the energy dream: presenting energy in a way that outlines it’s presence in our daily lives starting with a focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
