AIM Space Challenge

Space missions are fascinating, but they’re also very complex, take a huge effort and an enormous amount of time. How can we involve a broader audience in this interesting process, in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA)?

We have developed an informative and playful mobile tycoon game called AIM Space Challenge. The game portrays a breakdown of ESA’s proposed space mission AIM (Asteroid Impact Mission). The objective of the game is to build your own Space Centre and perform missions related to it.

More information about AIM and how to download the game can be found at ESA’s website.

Besides that it will also give shift leaders the opportunity to react in real time and make them the communicational link between staff members and passengers. So they, together with their team, will be responsible for the best customer experience possible

Global Goals Jam

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) organize a yearly event called the Social Good Summit, where people from all around the world who contribute to the 17 global goals for sustainable development share their stories and talk about their projects and vision for the future. The Summit is a co-production between UNDP, UN Foundation, 92Y and Mashable.

At the same time, all around the world local events are taking place where universities, agencies and local communities get together to form their vision for the future. UNDP, wants to take the Social Good Summit to the next level, by not only talking about vision and strategy, but also by stimulating people to start creating and designing. To organize this, the UNDP teamed up with MediaLAB Amsterdam to facilitate the process and design methodology.

2016 will be the first year, where besides the main summit and local events, there will also be Global Goals Jams (GGJ). GGJ’s are 2 or 3-day events, where design teams work in short sprints towards tangible results.

MediaLAB Amsterdam is now looking for local partners around the world to host and facilitate these Global Goals Jams in major cities. We will provide an extensive toolkit with branding materials, methods and instructions on how you can contribute. We’ll reach out to over 150 locations to make this happen.

Our aim is to give the Global Goals Jams a stage to share their process, work and results to the delegates in NYC and the other key partners. A digital platform with all the results will remain available thus stimulating others to continue and build on your work.
