This morning we had our kick-off meeting with our clients Van de Velde company and Jacob Kok. Also researchers from AMFI(Amsterdam Fashion Institute) were invited to this meeting. Hein Daanen from Lectoraat Fashion & Technology, and Ineke Siersema from AMFI, introduced us to the current situation of virtual fashion, also some 3D techniques that have already been used by fashion designers. After that, Van de velde explained their current work process, future aim and requirements, which helped us get some clear ideas of our project. Jacob Kok also briefly introduced his current focus and design concept.
We had a very nice discussion after we expressed some of our ideas such as realistic modeling & fitting. Van de Velde was quite interested in our ideas, and they brought some lace bras of their company & booklets for us as researching materials.
To us, this was a very good opportunity to get to know our clients as well as to gain much insight about the context. We were very inspired and we planned some following meetings(e.g. Hein, Jacob, Freark ) to discuss some further issues. We are expecting more inspiration from those meetings.
We will keep updating this blog.
